“Some gifts come in extraordinary packages.”

One summer in New York City, Eleanor (Leighton Meester), a struggling musician, takes a job as caretaker to Reggie (Julian Shatkin), a twelve-year-old cello prodigy. Frank Whaley sets the two of them in each other's company for the length of the season, the girl with little to hold onto and the boy with a gift well beyond his age. Eleanor came for the pay, and she keeps showing up for Reggie.
