“Great Passion and Tragic Betrayal”

In 1952, Bishop Bilodeau (Marcel Sabourin) arrives at a prison to hear the confession of Simon (Aubert Pallascio), a boyhood friend jailed for murder forty years earlier. Instead, the inmates sit him down to watch a play they have staged about the two men's youth, directed by John Greyson. Simon (Aubert Pallascio) has waited four decades for this audience, and the play is how he means to be heard.
