Lilies Not for Me

“Love cannot be cured.”

Owen James (Fionn O'Shea) is a young man in the 1920s, sent to a clinic that promises to cure him of a forbidden affair he cannot put down. Will Seefried follows him through the treatments and the cold routines of the ward, where Dorothy Ellis (Erin Kellyman), a nurse, begins to question what is being done in the name of care. What the film puts in front of us is the plain cruelty of a society that called loving the wrong person an illness.
