L'immensità

Clara (Penélope Cruz) is raising three children in 1970s Rome, in a marriage to Felice (Vincenzo Amato) that keeps tipping into quarrels. Her eldest, Adri (Luana Giuliani), is a girl on paper who knows himself to be a boy, and Clara lifts him out of the arguments by pulling the whole family into games of imagination. Emanuele Crialese sets that tenderness against a household coming apart, with Adri's future hanging on whether it holds.
