Lingaa

Lingaa (Rajinikanth), a petty thief, arrives in the village of Solaiyur to save its dam and temple from ruin. Both were built by his grandfather Raja Lingeswaran (Rajinikanth), the heir to a famous dynasty who, when the ruling Britons turned him down, got the villagers to raise the dam themselves. K. S. Ravikumar sets a thief's pride and a village's water against whatever threatens to take them away.
