Lion's Den

A young woman wakes in a cell with a dead man's blood still on the night behind her and a pregnancy only two weeks along. Julia (Martina Gusmán), twenty-five, a university student with no criminal record, is sent to an Argentinean prison, where Pablo Trapero follows her through the birth of her son Tomás. What the film keeps returning to is that a child raised behind bars still has to be loved.
