Little Crumb

Kruimeltje (Ruud Feltkamp) is a ten-year-old orphan in a Dutch port in 1921, known to everyone by a name that means little crumb. His foster mother, Mrs. Koster, is as poor as he is, and she won't feed him until he brings her money. Maria Peters follows him through the streets, where he steals from barrows and shops, sleeps in churches and doorways, and runs from police who are already looking for him.
