Little Forest: Summer/Autumn

“Live off the land and recharge.”

Ichiko (Ai Hashimoto) leaves the city after a heartbreak and goes back to Komori, the rural village she came from. She sweeps through a wet, humid summer, baking her own bread, growing tomatoes in the hothouse and tilling the fields. Junichi Mori follows her through the autumn work of pickling fish and sweet potatoes, and in the paddies she reaps the rice, her hands in the cold water.
