“They're Selling Vacuum Cleaners!”

In 1946, Benny Miller (Lou Costello) is a country bumpkin selling vacuum cleaners for a company run by Eddie L. Morrison (Bud Abbott), who is crooked. Morrison tells Benny he's a crackerjack salesman, a flattery meant to keep him obedient and working. William A. Seiter's comedy gives the pair little time together on screen, and Benny's belief in the praise is all that holds the company's racket in place.
