Little Murders

(1971)Directed by Alan Arkin108 min · PGComedy, Crime
“Funny in a new and frightening way!”

Patsy Newquist (Marcia Rodd) wants a man she can fix, and she settles on Alfred Chamberlain (Elliott Gould), a photographer who shrugs at the muggings, the shootings and the garbage strikes of his New York summer. She brings him home to meet her family, with Vincent Gardenia and Elizabeth Wilson as her parents, in a neighborhood going dark by the block. Alan Arkin, directing for the first time, lets Alfred stay blank while Patsy bets everything on changing him.
