“Bond is back. Back in action. Back with excitement.”

James Bond (Roger Moore), in his first outing as the MI6 agent, is sent to New Orleans to find out who killed a British operative. The trail leads to Mr. Big (Yaphet Kotto), a gangster boss, and to a fortune-teller named Solitaire (Jane Seymour) who works for him. Guy Hamilton, directing his third Bond film, keeps the chase moving from one set piece to the next.
