“In a snow-covered village, my family was burnt to death.”

Nozaki Haruka (Anna Yamada) only wants to get through her last two months at a new middle school in a small town, where she has landed because of her father's work. The other students make that impossible, and the teachers, knowing the school closes after graduation, decline to step in. Eisuke Naito stays with her as the cruelty grows, and the film shows how easily adults look away when a problem is about to expire.
