Lola
Roland Cassard (Marc Michel), a restless young man in the port city of Nantes, runs into the girl he once loved, now Lola (Anouk Aimée), a cabaret dancer raising a child alone. Jacques Demy, paying homage to Max Ophüls, shot it as a musical without the music. Roland is bored and drifting, and he falls for her all over again, while she keeps her eyes on a lover who left and may never return.
