London After Midnight

(1927)Directed by Tod Browning69 minHorror, Mystery
“Lon Chaney in a great Scotland Yard mystery”

Two sinister-looking tenants move into the abandoned Balfour House, where the owner was found dead five years earlier, and the empty rooms stir again. Tod Browning built the story around Professor Burke and the Vampire (Lon Chaney), a pairing that draws in Sir James Hamlin (Henry B. Walthall). Lucille Balfour (Marceline Day) stands between the dead man's house and the strangers who have taken it over.
