London River

Elisabeth (Brenda Blethyn) is a widow who farms on Guernsey, and when she cannot reach her daughter after the 7 July 2005 bombings, she travels to London to look for her. Her search runs into Ousmane (Sotigui Kouyaté), a quiet man from West Africa who is asking the same questions about his son. Rachid Bouchareb puts them in the same stalled hunt, and each day without an answer leaves them less sure what they will be told.
