Longtime Companion
“…a motion picture for everyone”
In the summer of 1981, a small item in the New York Times about a "gay cancer" reaches a circle of friends, among them David (Bruce Davison) and Willy (Campbell Scott), and none of them know what to make of it. Norman René follows the group through the years that come after, as illness takes them one at a time. What holds the film together is the love between David and Willy, which has to hold up under all of it.
