“Manga drew them together. Life made them best friends.”

Fujino (Yuumi Kawai) is the girl in her class everyone knows, the one whose funny comics fill the class newspaper, and she likes it that way. Then her teacher asks her to share the space with Kyomoto (Mizuki Yoshida), a girl who never comes to school and draws far better than she does. Kiyotaka Oshiyama, who also wrote the screenplay and designed the characters, keeps the film close to two girls and their pencils.
