Look Back in Anger

Jimmy Porter (Richard Burton), a university graduate with no job worth the name, wants someone to answer for the life he was handed. He aims it at his upper-middle-class wife Alison (Mary Ure), and at her friend Helena (Claire Bloom), whose arrival widens the quarrel. Tony Richardson keeps Cliff (Gary Raymond), the Welsh lodger, between them while the marriage strains, and what is at risk is whether Alison can stay with him at all.
