Looking for Comedy in the Muslim World

Albert Brooks (Albert Brooks) is handed a government assignment: fly to south Asia and write a report on what makes Muslims laugh, as part of an effort to improve relations with Muslim countries. The comedian takes it on with the confidence of a man who has done stand-up for years, and Brooks directs himself in the same role, a version of himself. He arrives with his questions and his material, sure that a joke is a joke anywhere, and he keeps asking.
