Looking for Eric

“To win back the love of his life, Eric's going to need a little training.”

Eric Bishop (Steve Evets) is a middle-aged postman in Manchester whose life has slid out of his hands, and he is a devoted football fan with little else holding him up. Ken Loach has him talking things over with Éric Cantona (Éric Cantona), the famously philosophical footballer, who turns up to coach him through the mess. Eric has to sort it out before his chaotic home and a long run of bad decisions finish him.
