“Detective Mack Stern is facing the greatest challenge of his career... His new partner.”

MacArthur Stern (Gene Hackman) is a hard-nosed cop who has made his arrests the old way for years, and now he gets a new partner on a difficult case. Bob Clark gives him a habit that matters once the shooting starts: Ellis keeps turning into whole casts of television characters.
