Lost Command

Lt. Col. Pierre Raspeguy (Anthony Quinn) comes out of a Vietnamese prison camp and is sent straight to Algeria to help put down the resistance. Mark Robson has him turn a rough band of soldiers into a fighting unit, with a general's rank and a countess waiting if he succeeds. Beside him stand Captain Esclavier (Alain Delon), tired of war, and Boisfeuras (Maurice Ronet), who lives for it.
