Lost Girls

A young woman named Shannan vanishes from a gated community on Long Island, and the police do little about it. Her mother, Mari Gilbert (Amy Ryan), starts her own search, and it leads to a string of murdered women found along the barrier islands. Liz Garbus follows Mari from house to house, a woman in a work jacket knocking on doors and asking questions that nobody wants answered.
