Lost Horizon

“Come to Shangri-La! Come to a new world of music, a new world of adventure, and a new world of love!”

Richard Conway (Peter Finch) is a diplomat who gets a group of Europeans out of war-torn China, including his brother George (Michael York). Their plane goes down in the Himalayas, and they are rescued and brought to the Valley of the Blue Moon, a place called Shangri-La. Charles Jarrott stages it as a musical, with Burt Bacharach songs and a cast that includes Liv Ullmann and George Kennedy.
