Louisiana Story
The Boy (Joseph Boudreaux) spends his days in the Louisiana bayou with his family and a pet raccoon he won't be parted from. When his father (Lionel Le Blanc) lets an oil crew bring a drilling barge onto their land, he starts asking the driller (Frank Hardy) how the machine works and whether it is safe. Robert Flaherty casts local people instead of actors, and the film was paid for by Standard Oil.
