Lourdes

Christine (Sylvie Testud), who uses a wheelchair and rarely leaves her home, joins an organized pilgrimage to Lourdes in the Pyrenees. She is bathed, fed and wheeled from one blessing to the next alongside other pilgrims and the volunteers who tend them, among them Maria (Léa Seydoux). Jessica Hausner holds her place in the queue, and Christine hopes the journey will end her isolation.
