Love Affair

“They Part as Strangers... to meet again as lovers...! Two people who were true to themselves...and who loved each other...at the expense of those who loved them!”

Michel Marnet (Charles Boyer) is a French playboy crossing the Atlantic on an ocean liner, and Terry McKay (Irene Dunne) is a former nightclub singer who is also on board and already engaged to someone else. Leo McCarey lets the two of them talk their way into love over the length of the voyage. They agree to meet again in six months if neither has changed their mind, and both of them have a lot to lose by keeping the date.
