Love and Honor

Shinnojo Mimura (Takuya Kimura) is a young samurai whose job is tasting the food of his lord, a quiet post he accepts without complaint. He goes blind, and his wife Kayo (Rei Dan) takes on the work of keeping his household and his standing in the clan. She will make a sacrifice to protect his honor. Yoji Yamada, closing his Samurai Trilogy, films the Edo-period household in small domestic scenes of meals, chores and talk.
