“Welcome to love in the 90’s”

David (Thomas Gibson) is a failed actor who waits tables and shares a flat with Candy (Ruth Marshall), the bookish ex-girlfriend he dated before coming out. Denys Arcand follows the pair and their friends, among them a telepathic sex worker and an ill-tempered yuppie, as they drift in and out of one another's beds while a killer targets women across the city. Under the dry jokes, everyone is simply looking for someone to hold onto.
