Victor (Devon Werkheiser) is a gullible high school freshman, awkward in every hallway, with a bad case of Anya-itis. The senior he can't stop looking at is Anya (Scout Taylor-Compton), who dates the most popular guy in school and has no idea Victor exists. Barbara Topsøe-Rothenborg follows his string of clumsy run-ins and an elaborate scheme, and Victor keeps trying, shy and goofy and sure that one date could change everything.
