Love at Sea

A young Parisian spends her holiday in Brest and falls in love with a sailor, and then autumn arrives and they have to part. Guy Gilles follows the two of them through their letters, with the sailor among his friends in Brest and the girl waiting in Paris, and he cuts between color footage and sepia black and white. Whether a love like this can last across that distance is the only thing the film is really about.
