Love Is Colder Than Death

Franz (Rainer Werner Fassbinder), a small-time pimp, has refused to join a crime syndicate, and the syndicate sends Bruno (Ulli Lommel), a gangster, to deal with him. Bruno ends up circling Franz's mistress Johanna (Hanna Schygulla), and Franz is pulled between the two of them. Fassbinder, making his first feature, leaves the three exposed to the syndicate and to each other.
