Love Letter

“Lost love lives on.”

Hiroko Watanabe (Miho Nakayama) stands at the memorial service for her fiancé Itsuki Fujii, who died in a mountain-climbing accident. His mother says the old family house is gone, but Hiroko copies an address from his yearbook and mails a letter to it anyway. Shunji Iwai lets the reply arrive, written by a woman who shares his name and once sat in his classroom, and Hiroko has to decide whether to keep writing.
