Love Letters

A woman named Singleton (Jennifer Jones) cannot remember her own past, and she may be the only one who knows how Roger and Victoria died. Alan Quinton (Joseph Cotten) comes home from Italy wounded, after writing Roger's love letters to Victoria and falling for her through them. William Dieterle shoots the story as a noir, with Ayn Rand's screenplay turning a pile of borrowed words into a puzzle.
