Love Letters of a Portuguese Nun

“Satanic lust behind cloister walls...”

Maria (Susan Hemingway) is sixteen when she is sent to the Serra D'Aires convent, a place where Mother Alma (Ana Zanatti) presides over a secret order of Satanists. Father Vicente (William Berger) and the other figures of the house hold her in rooms she did not choose. Jesús Franco stays close on the confinement and lets the story take its time in the convent's enclosed spaces.
