Love Songs

The spark has gone out of the relationship between Ismaël (Louis Garrel) and Julie (Ludivine Sagnier), and the way they try to fix it is to bring Alice (Clotilde Hesme) into it. Christophe Honoré, working in the manner of Jacques Demy, has his young Parisians sing their way through the games and the grief that follows. Underneath the songs, the film says that love stays fragile, and a person can only keep going.
