Love Unto Death

Elisabeth (Sabine Azéma) and Simon (Pierre Arditi) have been in love for only two months when Simon dies for a moment and then comes back. He refuses any more tests, so the two of them have to live with the knowledge that it could happen again. Alain Resnais follows them as they tell their friends Jérôme (André Dussollier) and Judith (Fanny Ardant), both clerics, and the answers they get leave their love and their dread of losing it in the same room.
