Lovely, Dark, and Deep

“She owes this land a body.”

Lennon (Georgina Campbell) takes a job as a backcountry ranger at Arvores National Park and walks into the wilderness alone, where several hikers and employees have already gone missing. She is there to find the origin of a tragedy that has followed her since childhood, and Teresa Sutherland keeps her mostly by herself. The film treats the pull of an unanswered loss as a reason to keep walking when the sensible choice is to turn back.
