Loving Vincent

“The truth is, we cannot speak other than by our paintings.”

Armand Roulin (Douglas Booth) is a young man handed a letter to deliver, the last one Vincent van Gogh (Robert Gulaczyk) ever wrote. He carries it to the painter's final hometown, where the question of how Vincent spent his last days takes hold of him. Hugh Welchman and Dorota Kobiela made every frame as an oil painting, so the people he questions look like they were lifted from Vincent's canvases.
