“Un Film de Jeff Preiss”

Amy Albany (Elle Fanning) is a girl growing up in a cramped Hollywood apartment, with her father Joe (John Hawkes), a jazz pianist whose heroin habit sets the terms of both their lives. Jeff Preiss, adapting Amy-Jo Albany's memoir, follows her through the bars and hallways of his world, with her grandmother Gram (Glenn Close) nearby. It shows a child who loves her father fully, and learns early what that love can't repair.
