A sea creature named Luca Paguro (voice: Jacob Tremblay) discovers he can walk on land and look human. He befriends Alberto Scorfano (voice: Jack Dylan Grazer), another young sea creature with the same secret, and together they slip into a nearby Italian coastal town. By summer's end, Luca stands on the beach with his new friends, watching the horizon where the water meets the sky, knowing he belongs to both worlds.
