Lucky and Zorba

“Together they learn the true meaning of friendship.”

In a garden somewhere inland, a seagull drops out of the sky, coated in the black oil of a sinking petrol ship. The tomcat Zorba (Carlo Verdone) finds her dying, and she asks him for three promises: leave her egg alone, sit on it until it hatches, and teach the chick to fly. Enzo D'Alò adapts Luis Sepúlveda's novel, and the cat is left in the garden with an egg and the promises he gave.
