Lucy (Scarlett Johansson) is dragged into a drug deal in Taipei and ends up carrying a bag of experimental narcotic inside her body for Mr. Jang (Choi Min-sik). Luc Besson cuts her through Taipei, Paris and New York at a hard, fast pace, while Professor Norman (Morgan Freeman) tries to work out what the drug is doing to her. Her mind is changing faster than she can hold on to it, and Lucy is running out of time.
