“Keep your friends close.”

In present-day Los Angeles, Matthew (Théodore Pellerin) works the counter at a clothing store, until the day Oliver (Archie Madekwe), a rising pop star, walks in. A friendly exchange turns into an invitation, and Matthew starts finding his way into Oliver's circle of friends. Alex Russell, in his directorial debut, keeps the camera close on Matthew's face while the group's warmth stays just out of reach.
