Macadam Stories

Nothing in this film is meant to happen, yet strangers keep ending up in each other's lives. Samuel Benchetrit builds it from small meetings among the residents of a run-down housing estate, where Jeanne Meyer (Isabelle Huppert) and Sterkowitz (Gustave Kervern) are drawn into other people's days. What grows between these neighbors is a plain, awkward tenderness, one person at a time.
