Macbeth

“Entertainment Greatness … That Only Motion Picture Magic Can Bring!”

In a Scotland of wet stone and gloom, Macbeth (Orson Welles), Thane of Glamis, hears from three witches that he will one day be king. His wife, Lady Macbeth (Jeanette Nolan), will not let the words go to waste, and she pushes him toward the throne. Welles shot the film on cramped, cavernous sets, and the castle walls close in around his actors like a cave.
