Macbeth

Macbeth (Jon Finch) is a warlord in eleventh-century Scotland, brave in battle and hungry for more than his king has given him. Three witches hand him a prophecy, and his wife, Lady Macbeth (Francesca Annis), pushes him to act on it. Roman Polanski, working from a script he wrote with Kenneth Tynan, casts two young, handsome leads, and what binds this couple is a shared ambition that keeps pulling them further from each other.
