Mad Dog and Glory

(1993)Directed by John McNaughton96 min · RComedy, Crime, Romance, Drama
“A cop who'd rather be an artist. A mobster who'd rather be a comic. And a woman who'd rather be anywhere but between them.”

Wayne Dobie (Robert De Niro) is a police photographer so quiet and unassuming that his fellow cops have nicknamed him Mad Dog. After he saves the life of Frank Milo (Bill Murray), a crime boss with ambitions as a stand-up comedian, Milo sends over a thank-you: Glory (Uma Thurman), a waitress, for one week. John McNaughton sets two shy people in a room with a debt between them, and the film is about how hard it is to let someone care for you.
