Mad Max 2

“Just one man can make a difference.”

Max Rockatansky (Mel Gibson) drives the dusty roads of the Australian Outback after the world has ended, looking for gasoline and little else. His search puts him between the settlers of a fuel-depot encampment and the marauders led by Lord Humungus, who want what the depot holds. George Miller shot it around Broken Hill, and Max, who came for fuel, ends up deciding how much of the settlers' fight is his.
