Madame

An elderly piano teacher in Istanbul has just been told her cancer is terminal, and what keeps her awake is her cat, Hanım, her only friend. Olcay (Yıldız Kenter) goes looking for someone to take the animal in, and Halit Refiğ follows her through a city whose people and streets no longer match the one she knows. By the end of her search, she sits with the cat on her lap, the piano she has taught on for years standing silent behind her.
